The Palace Bar, Redbreast 25 Year old Single Cask with Free Gift

Bottled exclusively for the Palace Bar, this Redbreast Single Cask is one of the oldest released, having exclusively spent 25 years maturing in this ex-olorosso sherry hogshead. Laid down in May 1998 using the MMP-1 spirit from the legendary Midleton distillery in County Cork. Very few Redbreast releases get to spend such time solely in ex-sherry casks and are a rare find in a warehouse holding over 2 million barrels of maturing spirit.

Hand-selected by master blender Dave McCabe and 2 generations of the Aherne Family, with Willie and his father Liam, who have been custodians of the world-famous Palace Bar since the 1960’s, having been passed the mantle from previous generations of family Publicans, this single cask is sure to be one of the Legendary whiskeys that is served in the famous “Whiskey Palace.”

Yielding only 507 bottles in total, only a small few will be sold to the public here as much will be enjoyed over the bar in the world-famous establishment. Bottled at a cask strength of 57.6% ABV, this whiskey is sure to live up to the legendary bar whose name it bears.

The first 40 orders will receive a complimentary branded Redbreast whiskey tumbler, a branded Redbreast pair of socks and a famous Redbreast Lapel pin

Tasting notes

Nose: Initial hints of Dark fruits, dates, and figs with Rich notes of wood, leather, and freshly roasted coffee beans. The soft pot still spices build over time, accompanied by mild nutty undertones and dark chocolate.

Taste: Rich in spices with soft aok tannins to the fore, while hints of vanilla and soft dried fruits evolve, working in tandem with woodland spices of cinnamon and freshly grated nutmeg.
